I never learnt to draw realistic portraits. I discovered I could draw them when I was a little girl. I thought it would be interesting to share a few drawings with you.

 

 

I can be moved by a facial expression or I can be touched by a personal history. These two factors determine the choices of the subjects I portray.

 

Before starting a portrait, I spend much time defining the surface of the face I will draw. I determine it to the millimeter, because this to me impacts the aura of the finished work. Through my portraits, I try to convey emotion.
